The Daily Word from The Bishop

In many ways, our spirit tend to seek god, and still find ways to forget that we need him more then ever. In this day and age, people only pray when they are going through something, or if they have a lost a love one or they are getting sick. Do people realize that God sometimes just want to talk to you, he want to know what is going on from your mouth, even though he knows everything, a deep conversation can lead to very good blessing.

When I first became a part of the Kingdom of God, I didn’t think like a well groom Christian, I was more what I called “A Water Down Christian” you may say what is that, that is a person who truly know the meaning of salvation, he knows the love of God, and he knows that if wasn’t for God he would not have made it this far, and yet he still do things that is not pleasing to God and still find ways to try to make excuses to why he do certain things in life.

But that all changed one day, and I come to see that the path of righteous is not about how many people you bring to church, you how many people you have following you, and truly not about how big your church is. When you read the words:

“Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, but acknowledge him, and he shall direct your path”

That alone speaks volume of spiritual concept, just acknowledging the presences of God can open up doors within your life. Think about it, how many people in the world today, would do things for you without expecting anything in return? Well in my book not that many, it seems people expect more out of you once they know you are a born again Christian, they tend to try to use those important factors of being a Christian against you, so they can obtain what they need.

God won’t do that, he won’t turn away, he won’t lie to you, he won’t play games, he won’t lead you astray, he won’t stop loving you, and he surely won’t stop forgiving you. So why is it so hard to just call upon him to have a father and son or a father and daughter talk? Truthfully it is not hard at all. I can say, some people don’t know how to pray, and then there are those who can pray, but to afraid to do so thinking that God won’t answer or he will punish you in the end.

It is time for all of us to get out of that lost and found stage, it is time for us to proclaim the truth, that we are truly blessed to have a father within  our lives. I wake up every morning and hold a conversation with the Lord while drinking my coffee, and I tell you those are the best times of the day, I really get things out on the table, and he shares with me the steps I need to take to achieve my goals. Now don’t get me wrong, there are times when I pray I do be expecting a clear cut answer right then and there, but I know that God don’t work that way, sometimes, he will send someone in your life to help you see what he is trying to get you to do.

“Stop and think, listen and learn” That is the best way to know God. That is the best way to understand what he has for your life. So word today is:

“Stop, Think, Listen and Learn”

God Bless You
